We have developed world’s first: Chiller inverter system!
Based on our years of experience, we have learned that an air-conditioning system aboard a ship, is a heavy consumer for the electrical installation. Especially the startup current from a conventional system, is a problematic experience. Therefore it is often necessary to undertake special adjustments to avoid that problem.
MAR-IX is the only company worldwide that has developed an inverter system that completely resolves that problem.
An inverter system does not switch on and off the compressor, but regulates a soft startup completely from a standstill. The inverter also adjusts the compressor speed to the circumstances. This resolves into a variable capacity control
The extraordinary of this capacity control is, that the system adjusts the cool capacity to the capacity which is necessary at that particular moment. This will also reduce the ingoing capacity to a minimum.
When operating under the standard norm, the inverter will use no more current than is mentioned in the specifications.
In cooperation with Marstervolt and Victron, the inverter systems has been tested. They both come to the same conclusion: “finally a system that causes no problems to the electrical installation!”.
All inverter systems are multi voltage, so without adjustments for use at 50Hz and 60Hz.

The Hydraulic driven chiller unit
Especially for (work) boats which do not have a generator aboard, but most of the times are equipped with a hydraulic installation, MAR-IX has developed a chiller system which makes it possible to feed the compressor and pumps hydraulically. In combination with fan coil units type 24VDC, the system can function/operate without 230VAC. It is also possible to extend the system with an external heater or a heat exchanger to use the engine heat.
The hydraulic chiller unit is also developed especially for extreme weather conditions. The chiller can resist heavy shocks and also angles up to 60°.
